That we share the road with people who think this is safe:
On the front of a 2018 C53 AMG.

Racing slicks? Just check the weather and then take the Benz out.

Front? I’ll assume those were swapped from the rear at some point. Now all four corners are worthless in the wet/damp/humid/etc.

You’d rather have the bald tires on the fronts as opposed to the rears. The tires with the least traction want to lead, and that’s not necessarily a good thing when they’re on the back.

W ear looks fairly even, not an alignment issue - maybe those were the rears and they swapped them onto the front after some burnouts ? Can’t tell what Conti tire those are (were...)

True, but only for the first five days on a C63 , and then the rears will be worn the same as the fronts!

They probably leave their shopping cart in the parking space too.

Slicks bro! Sticky AF!
Really though, that car just came out, how did they wear the tires that bad already?
Presume it’s 4matic too?

If I was ever in a situation where I absolutely had to choose between putting bald tires on the front or rear, I think I would opt to put them on the rear. Because I woul d rather have trouble accelerating than have trouble steering and braking.

I can tell from the tread pattern

I appreciate the reminder...but how could anyone forget to assume that at least 75% of the other drivers around them are complete fuckknuckles?

The best tires always go in the rear, it doesn’t matter which is the driven axle.
No matter how good of a driver you are oversteer is dangerous on public roads. Understeer is controllable (to an extent).

At least he has tires... this was yesterday

Starred for “fuck knuckles.”

Growing up ( ok, getting older ) around high powered cars, race cars, and being taught how to control vehicles in pretty much every condition without driver assists, I find understeer far more dangerous.
Oversteer can be corrected with simple throttle input and steering, understeer on the other hand requires some tricky driving to overcome.
Honestly, just being on public roads is a danger for most drivers.

So many fuckknuckles...and yet no emoji.

You just need to string your hieroglyphs together. Maybe something like this: ?

Tires are a scam! Wheels are already round, why would you want to cover them in something that’s just going to wear out? Trains don’t have tires, and they are fine!

I think that might be offensive...but hahahahaha

?

Nope, rwd. They’d done some hooning and switched the rears to the front

Hmm - I thought they were pushing these cars to all AWD these days, but that’s probably just because dealers don’t get RWD cars around Chicago.

We get a few like that around here, my local dealer is an enthusiast’s dealer so they’ll have rare specs in rather frequently. I remember a year or 2 ago they have a brown E400 Wagon, almost all their M cars are manual if possible, and they try to have at least 3 Porsche RS cars at any given moment. Just look up Isringhausen and look through their inventory if you’re ever bored

And it stops like a train, a quarter m ile from its original stopping point. lol

43 or 63? C53 isn’t a thing. 43 is 4matic, 63 is RWD. Both are staggered though...
Edit: upon closer inspection that looks like a C300 with sport package based on the brake caliper and tire model. They do tend to have heavy outer wear on the fronts due to scrub radius and toe settings. Can’t quite make out the tire size from the image though. Even still, with that wheel design they're staggered.

I didn’t look at the badge, I saw AMG wheels and knew it wasn’t a 63, so I was thinking 43. Probably just a rwd C300 with the sport package. The rears were nice and meaty and the fronts were completely bald
